About Dr Ian Ng
Dr Ng completed his MBBS at the University of Sydney in 2011 and went on to undertake his Surgical Training in various Sydney Hospitals, including Westmead Hospital in New South Wales.
In 2019 Dr Ng obtained his Fellowship to the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and completed his subspecialty Post Fellowship training with the Breast Surgeons of Australia and New Zealand (BreastSurgANZ) Society at Concord Hospital and Westmead Breast Cancer Institute.
As a Consultant Breast and General Surgeon, Dr Ng has obtained full membership to the Breast Surgeons of Australia and New Zealand (BreastSurgANZ) Society and serves as a member of the Oncoplastic Committee overseeing the training of post-fellowship candidates. Dr Ng is also accredited by the Conjoint Committee for Recognition in Training in Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (CCRTGE) to perform colonoscopy procedures.
Clinical Interests
Dr Ng has a public appointment as a Consultant General Surgeon at Toowoomba Hospital with a special interest in Breast Cancer Surgery and various oncoplastic reconstruction techniques to obtain a good cosmetic outcome. Dr Ng has been actively involved in research in this area and has recently published and presented on various oncoplastic reconstruction techniques.

Outside the Office
Born and raised in Singapore, Dr Ng spent 2 years serving in the Singapore Army before migrating to Australia. Together with his wife, a GP and Toowoomba local, they are proud to now call Toowoomba home with their three young children.
